Steve Bickerton Steve Bickerton ACCA – Senior Audit Manager

Steve trained and qualified with large international firms, where he managed to get some great experience including working in Brisbane.

As senior audit manager, Steve is responsible for a portfolio of large corporate clients within the firm. He specialises in the construction and manufacturing sectors, and professional practices particularly looking after our solicitor clients.

Steve also manages a team that carries out specialist grant audits for the Welsh Assembly Government such as ERDF, RSA and SMARTCymru schemes.

Elizabeth Coggins Elizabeth Coggins ACA – Audit Manager

Liz joined Broomfield & Alexander having previously qualified and trained within a big four international firm in Cardiff.

Liz specialises in auditing and providing business advisory services to middle market companies. Her experience includes the audit of companies in a range of industries but specialising in car dealerships, manufacturing and subsidiaries of overseas companies.

Her role within the business has included: -

Managing audits for a broad portfolio of clients;
Planning and managing the firm’s internal audit assignments;
Financial appraisal; and Managing specialist grant audits
such as ERDF, RSA and SMARTCymru.

Linda Strange ACCA – Business Services Manager

Linda jointly manages our thriving Business Support services department, dealing with the outsourcing of various finance functions for a significant number of clients. In addition to the provision of annual accounting, management accounting and taxation services Linda’s experience includes:

the management of clients cash flow and full accounting function
the development and implementation of appropriate accounting systems the preparation of cash flow forecasts and reports to financial institutions

Julian Halton ACA - Business Services Manager

Mike Buttigieg – Tax Department Manager

Mike leads our dedicated tax team, a former HM inspector for Taxes, Mike joined us from a large multi national accountancy firm in Cardiff where he gained a wealth of experience.

Ravi manages our corporate finance team and has also been awarded the new ICAEW Corporate Finance Diploma. Ravi has a broad range of experience including:

Helen Baldwin CIPD - HR Manager

A member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, Helen is the firm’s HR manager responsible for staff training, recruitment and retention. Helen also manages the firm’s annual intake of graduates from recruitment and selection through their development towards their final qualification.

Helen also carries out a range of human resource services for clients, including:

Advice on selection and recruitment;
Support and advice with disciplinary issues;
Guidance on health and safety;
Advice on setting up core competencies and structures;
Preparation and guidance on implementation of the Investor In People standard; and

Claire Griffiths Chartered Marketer, MCIM - Marketing Manager

A chartered marketer, Claire offers a broad range of strategic marketing and commercial expertise. As well as running our in house marketing department, Claire also helps many of our clients with their marketing programmes - from strategic marketing plans, business development, event management to PR campaigns.

Simon Berg – Accounts Manager

Simon is responsible for the internal accounting function at Broomfield & Alexander Ltd. He has previously held roles as a Financial Director in the Health Sector and Financial Controller in the Leisure Sector. Simon also administers the financial aspects of 25 subcontract limited companies on behalf of a Plc Company. This includes financial accounting, treasury and billing responsibilities.
