Global Laser is a specialist designer and manufacturer of high performance and high reliability laser diode modules. The company has invested heavily in product refinement and has developed unique digital laser control technology which enabled the switch from analogue to digital control software.  Global Laser’s products are distributed worldwide including USA, China, Japan and Korea and have multiple applications across many sectors from robotics and healthcare to defence.

How we helped
Global Laser’s shareholders engaged our Corporate Finance Team to arrange a management buy-out (MBO) to allow a number of founder shareholders to exit from the business.  

They advised on: 

  • Valuing the business and negotiating the terms of the management’s offer;
  • Preparation of the business plan to support the MBO;
  • Creation of the financial forecasts and cash flow projections;
  • Advice on the deal structure to ensure the company’s tax liability was minimised;
