Directors
Robert, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales, and a member of its Audit Faculty, is our Managing Director and is responsible for the delivery of our audit services on European funded projects for the Welsh Assembly Government and other organisations. He offers over 25 years experience in all areas of audit, accounting and business advisory services, and is a registered business-planning consultant with the Wales Quality Centre.
Robert’s primary expertise is in working with SME’s and owner-managed businesses offering advice on strategic, operational and financial matters. Robert is a Council member of the Wales Management Council, and encourages clients to develop the leadership and management skills within their staff.
Robert frequently provides litigation support to our legal clients through expert witness reports. He also leads our specialist professional partnerships team, using his experience in managing our own business, to advise our professional partnership clients on a wide range of issues, including incorporation as an LLP and other strategic partnership issues.

Malcolm, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales, heads up our Business Services and Business Development teams and also acts as Treasurer for a number of organisations including Cardiff Bay Business Forum.
Malcolm offers over 25 years experience in dealing with SME’s and owner managed businesses across Wales. He has previously lectured on topics as diverse as Accounting for Charities and Business Continuity Planning.

Sarah, a practising Chartered Accountant, leads our successful Newport office.
Sarah is dedicated to providing owner managed businesses with sound financial and strategic business advice to ensure continued and profitable growth. Sarah and her team advise our clients on key management information including management accounts and annual financial reporting matters, providing value added advice to assist clients in understanding their business.
Sarah also acts for a considerable portfolio of our Charity clients, she leads our team in providing high level compliance with common sense solutions. Sarah was one of the first Charted Accountants in Wales to hold the ICAEWs Diploma in Charity Accounting (DChA) which recognises the highest level of expertise in charity finance and administration.

Mark Hislop BSc ACIB - Director Corporate Finance
Mark is a director within our Corporate Finance team. He has a wealth of experience within the SME sector and an in-depth knowledge of raising finance and appropriate funding structures.
He is a qualified banker and spent nineteen years in the corporate banking sector, subsequently he has workedwithin the Venture Capital industry and latterly within the corporate finance team of a national accountancy firm.
Mark has experience of leading management buy out / buy in transactions together with a number of detailed strategic reviews on behalf of clients.
He is currently completing a MBA with a leading Business School.

Steve Bickerton FCCA – Director Business Services
Steve, a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, works within our Business Services Team.
Steve offers a wealth of experience in all areas of audit, accounting and business advisory services. Steve has strong commercial expertise having worked overseas for a number of years for businesses in various business sectors.
Steve advises our corporate clients on key management information including management accounts and annual financial reporting matters.
Steve has also gained considerable experience in the construction industry, and professional partnerships (particularly SAR compliance for solicitors’ practices), and is a key member of our growing professional partnerships team.

Justin Crowley – Director Audit
Justin is an Audit Director with specialist expertise in the public and not for profit sectors.
Originally trained at PricewaterhouseCoopers he has provided external and internal audit and consultancy assignments for a broad spectrum of clients in those sectors including:
With specific additional expertise in both the social housing and charities sectors, Justin has audited and assisted clients of all sizes and public profile and takes a lead role in assisting clients to make the most appropriate responses to regulatory and financial changes.
Conversant in a wide range of sector-specific SORPs, Justin also holds the ICAEWs Diploma in Charity Accounting (DChA) which recognises the highest level of expertise in charity finance and administration.
A controls specialist, Justin also has significant experience in assisting clients to achieve enhanced levels of control compliance including delivery of Sarb-Ox reviews. He is also a member of the Audit Committee at Coleg Gwent.
