South Wales professional advisors Broomfield & Alexander have filled a senior position with the internal promotion of Steve Bickerton to director of the firm’s Business Services operation, which offers a range of accountancy and business support services.
This brings Broomfield’s Director team to 10, a perfect number!
Stev has been promoted after following the firm’s successful manager development programme, which grooms managers for director roles, and which is one of the factors which led to it recently becoming the only independent accountants in Wales to be listed in the prestigious Best Companies Guide – a ranking based on feedback from employees.
Steve, aged 38, joined Broomfield & Alexander’s audit department as a manager six years ago from a two-year stint with Ernst and Young in Australia. Prior to that, he had worked for a property developer and housebuilder in Edinburgh, and PriceWaterhouse Coopers in Cardiff.
Having worked with companies of all sizes, Steveaid he wanted to put that experience to good use in building and strengthening the department’s reputation for its wide range of management and financial accounting services.
“I am looking forward to working closely with our business services clients and using my expertise to enhance the quality service provided and help our clients to develop strong and profitable businesses for themselves,” he said.
Broomfield & Alexander’s managing director Robert Preece said Steve would bring an expert eye to his role. “Business Services is an important part of our services to clients, and I know that Steve will bring the same rigour and enthusiasm towards this leadership role as he did in his previous role in our audit department,” he said.
Steve can be contacted on 029 2073 9425 or by email bickertons@broomfield.co.uk
