Broomfield & Alexander has joined an elite group of just 400 firms in the UK which have been voted the “Best Company” to work for – by our own employees.

We’ve achieved a coveted One Star Status accreditation in the ranking of companies carried out by the independent organisation, Best Companies – the people behind the prestigious Sunday Times Best Companies to Work For.

Set up six years ago, Best Companies has used its experience of surveying nearly 900,000 employees from more than 2000 organisations to develop an academically rigorous methodology to measure levels of ‘Workplace Engagement’.

Based on responses by staff to 54 key questions about a company’s leadership, managers and teams, and about the individual’s personal growth opportunities, it awards a ‘Michelin style’ star rating to organisations that demonstrate high levels of employee engagement - one star is first class, two stars are outstanding and three stars are extraordinary.

We are delighted to be one of only 209 organisations to achieve One Star Status this year, lining up with 150 which achieved Two Star Status and 55 which achieved Three Star Status.

Broomfield & Alexander’s director Seamus Gates said the accreditation was an enormous boost for the self-confidence of everyone in the company.

“We work hard to look after our staff – as with any professional services firm, they are the lifeblood of the company, and without their contributions, clients would not come to us,” he said. “I’m very proud that this independent survey has produced such a resounding endorsement from them.”

Jonathan Austin, founder and CEO of Best Companies, added his congratulations. “Our role at Best Companies is to set a rigorous benchmark so that organisations can become even better employers. This year it is encouraging to see that the number of companies entering the accreditation scheme for excellence in workplace engagement has grown by over twenty percent."
