HEATHER’S HARD WORK TURNS TO GOLD

Broomfield & Alexander’s Graduate Training Programme celebrates another success as Heather Jones-Hughes, one of our accounts trainees has become a world beater after being confirmed as one of the top students amongst thousands who sat their key qualifying exams recently.

Heather beat almost 6,500 other students across the world to become a joint Gold Medal winner of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants Qualification – the benchmark qualification for our profession.

Heather, who lives in Abercynon  in Rhondda Cynon Taf, gained the highest aggregate mark worldwide for papers in the Professional level – Essentials and Options Module.

“I was really happy to finish my ACCA exams, and to become a joint gold medal winner was an added bonus,” said Heather.

“It’s nice to be receiving recognition for my hard work, and I am really thankful for the support received throughout from my partner, my family and Broomfield and Alexander.” 

Heather was congratulated by Ben Cottam, Head of ACCA Wales. “Her achievement is nothing short of amazing!” he said. “The papers within the ACCA Qualification are very challenging and to have come top in such a competitive environment is exceptional.”

Ian Thomas, training director at Broomfield & Alexander said: “We are all extremely pleased with Heather’s achievement. Our Graduate Training Programme is dedicated to giving our accountancy students the best support and training to help them achieve their qualification.”
