NEW Tax Investigations Service launched

2008 sees the launch of our new Tax Investigations Service with increased benefits including cover for Aspect Tax Investigations.

We are linking up with Abbey Tax PLC, the UK’s leading provider of fee protection services, to offer this service providing our clients with peace of mind and protection from tax investigations.

Why take out this policy?

Tax inspectors are becoming increasingly belligerent, last year HMRC collected an additional £9.1billion! and more initiatives are being developed to increase that amount. HMRC have paid a disgraced former employee of an overseas bank, to obtain information on otherwise private bank accounts, which illustrates the lengths that they will go to!

Tax investigations can be chosen at random, and a full investigation is likely to take 2 years to settle and may cost several thousand pounds in accountancy fees. Worryingly, Aspect Enquiries are becoming more detailed and complex, and HMRC are targeting these as one of their new initiatives to collect more taxes.

So what’s involved?

Prices are dependant on the type of business you are and start from as little as £183 per annum for a sole trader, £206 for a partnership and £250 for a limited company. Not much when you work out that’s about 5p per day for peace of mind and protection.
