James is a Director of MHA Broomfield Alexander and operates across the South Wales marketplace.
James has responsibility for a wide and varied portfolio of clients ranging from entrepreneurial private clients to listed entities.
James qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2003 and became a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales in 2013.
Prior to joining MHA Broomfield Alexander James worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) for over 12 years during which time he held senior management positions at both their Cardiff and Swansea offices. Post leaving PwC, James joined W R King & Co. which merged with MHA Broomfield Alexander in 2014.
James has extensive experience of advising a wide range of owner-managed businesses in diverse sectors. In addition he also has experience of working with private equity and venture capitalist backed businesses and a number of listed entities.
James has led a number of due diligence projects and is experienced in dealing with group reconstructions, acquisitions and disposals.
James has significant experience of working with companies under UK GAAP, US GAAP and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and has overseen several IFRS conversion projects.
James has extensive experience of managing group reporting engagements and overseeing special purpose reports for overseas entities.
